Italian robbers returned the girl a stolen puppy

It turns out that thieves have a heart. On Christmas Eve, robbers in Italy returned to a desperate girl her puppy, stolen a week ago.

The Italian thieves showed their generosity by returning to their five-year-old girl Paola her puppy named Gaia, whom they stole last week, breaking into the house of the Piazzolla family living in the town of Sangano. The robbers carried a television out of the house, several other things, and for some reason brought a four-month-old puppy with them.

If the family of Piazzolla could reconcile with the robbery, then the abduction of the dog was the biggest loss for them, and especially for their youngest daughter Paola. Within a few days, the stolen puppy became a celebrity in Sangano. His photographs hung on almost every pillar in the city: so the girl and her parents tried to find out about the stolen pet and bring it back.

But this seemed to them not enough. Together with her parents, the girl wrote an ad in La Stampa, in which she addressed thieves who had abducted her pet. In her letter, the girl asked the robbers to return the dog to her.

Apparently, imbued with tears and entreaties of a five-year-old baby, the thieves decided to return Paola to her friend. At night in the house of Piazzolla rang. When the girl’s mother picked up the phone, she heard “Go outside, your Gaia in the yard.” When the girl’s parents left the house, they saw Gaia puppy trembling from the cold. Apparently, the thieves decided to give Paole such a gift in honor of Catholic Christmas, which today marks the whole of Italy and the Vatican.

Today, at St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican, Pope Francis held his first Christmas Mass, which was attended by more than ten thousand people. Hundreds of people who did not have enough space in the cathedral stood on the street where the mass was broadcast on huge screens. According to local news agencies and television, thousands of believers from different countries came to the Vatican for the Christmas mass.

In his address to millions of Catholics, the head of the church emphasized that everyone has the right to choose between light and darkness. The pontiff explained that in life everyone is like bright times. Francis urged everyone not to be afraid to keep in touch with the Almighty.

Congratulating Catholics around the world, Francis did not miss the opportunity to once again remind the whole world of the problems that must be dealt with today. Thus, the Pope called for an immediate end to the conflict in Syria, which claimed thousands of lives and sent thousands of people fleeing the country.

“I urge all believers and unbelievers to join me in the longing for peace,” Francis said.

The Pope also mentioned the victims of a terrible shipwreck near the Italian island of Lampedusa, and also expressed his condolences to the relatives of all those who died from natural disasters.

According to local media, the congratulations of the pontiff were heard not only by believers gathered in St. Peter's Basilica, but also by thousands of television viewers around the world.
