Two hundred major cities in the world were investigated by Mercer as part of this annual monitoring. The thirty cities most comfortable for people included several other German megacities: Hamburg (population about 1800 thousand), the capital of the state - Berlin, cities Nuremberg and Stuttgart.

Cities of Russia comfortable for the population are not recognized. Moscow and St. Petersburg took very low places: 163 and 164. Other Russian cities were not even considered in a study by the Mercer agency. Baghdad took the last place in the "competition".
